In Shinwa-no-sato Park use a chair-lift to climb up to the observatory located at an approximate altitude of 700 meters. From the hilltop observatory, visitors can have a panoramic view of Kinko Bay and Sakurajima and an even closer look at Mt. Takachiho. On fine days, the view goes as far as Mt. Kaimon to the south. Visitors can enjoy grass tobogganing down a slope of 390 meters on the refreshing and very popular super-slider. At a roadside-station (Michi-no-eki), the restaurant offers Kirishima Kurobuta pork dishes, and the shop provides various souvenirs.
