Samegawa Village is a small village with a population of approximately 3,000 located in the southern part of the Abukuma Highlands, where the nostalgic landscape of countryside remains. About 70% of the land in this village is covered with forest, which creates beautiful landscapes for each of the four seasons. Samegawa Village also boasts a beautiful starry sky. Kanotsunodaira Sightseeing Ranch, located at an altitude of about 700 meters, has an astronomical observatory in place, allowing visitors to enjoy observing the stars.
